Can I use multiple collection or recovery agencies to manage unpaid debts?

Last updated February 20, 2024

It is common to wonder if one has the right to engage another service provider besides Respaid. However, it should be noted that once a case is entrusted to a specific collection or recovery agency, it is generally expected that the agency will handle the entire management, without any third party intervening in parallel.

Indeed, we are mandated to act on behalf of the creditor to recover an unpaid debt. This delegation is based on a relationship of trust and the expertise of the chosen agency to successfully carry out the recovery process.

Can I use multiple collection or recovery agencies to manage unpaid debts?

Thus, entrusting an unpaid debt to another collection or recovery agency, in addition to Respaid, would be considered a breach of this established trust relationship. By doing so, you risk compromising the effectiveness of the recovery process, creating conflicts of interest, or confusion in the actions taken.

It is therefore advisable to respect the mandate given to Respaid and allow us to manage the case on an exclusive basis. This will ensure a coherent and focused approach, with the aim of optimizing the chances of recovering the outstanding debt.
